Place to meet warm hearted people—a year anniversary of METI Tent

A year anniversary event was held on Sept. 11 at the Occupy tent in front of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI Tent).

“No one ever knew that this tent was going to stand here for the whole year,” FUCHIGAMI Taro held a microphone and spoke in front of the crowd of about 700 people. “I planned for 10 days. Why did it last this long? It’s because nothing at Fukushima Daiichi explosion has been resolved. Until the day we see the problems solved and mysteries unveiled, we will stand here. We call it, ‘Tent of Justice.’”

A woman from Fukushima interviewed by Labornet TV said, “When I come to this tent, I meet people who are thinking wholeheartedly about the future of Fukushima and Japan. This is a place where you can meet warm-hearted people.” People took a minute to speak about what they wanted to say. Some 80 percent was women. You realize how women are the drive behind this movement. (M) 

日本の良心に出会える所～経産省前テントひろば1周年を迎える

 9月11日午後、脱原発「経産省前テントひろば」1周年イベントが、テント前で開催された。淵上太郎テント代表がマイクを握る。「だれ一人このテントが1 年も存続するとは思わなかった。私も10日くらいのつもりだった。でもここまで続いたのはなぜか？ それははっきりしている。3.11以後、何ひとつ原発事故の問題が解決していないからだ。だからテントは存続する。これは正義のテントだ！」。レイバー ネットTVは参加者にインタビューした。福島から来た女性（写真）はこう語った。「ここに来ると福島のこと、日本の未来のことを本気で考える人がいる。こ こは日本の良心に出会える場所だ」と。この日の集会で1分アピールがあったが、その8割近くが女性だった。テントの運動は「おんな」が支えていることを実 感させられた。 （M）
