“A new year has come. This is the only thing I can say in Fukushima” – Comments of demonstrators in front of the Prime Minister’s Office on January 11

Here are some of the comments of demonstrators gathered in front of the Prime Minister’s Office on January 11.
“A new year has come. This is the only thing I can say in Fukushima”. “Decontamination costs are a waste. They have to be spent for our lives to be put back in order, not for general contractors to make profits”. “It does not matter if there is an active fault or not. A nuclear power plant itself is not acceptable anywhere”. “Nukes kill people. Nukes kill nature. Do we really need electricity generated by such nukes?” “Adults have to take responsibility for their generation, and we high school and junior high school students are responsible for the future. We take the situation in Japan more seriously than those in the nuclear industry. This is true”. “Why Olympics now? Money for the games has to be spent for Fukushima instead”. “People living in Tokyo do not know how serious the radioactive contamination is, but they also need to evacuate”. “Remember. Also in Germany, those who made profits from nuclear power resisted denuclearization”. (Shinya)
