We will stop Abe administration’s rampage〜A new party forms

EDANO Yukio, formerly the Democratic (Minshin) Party member, announced at a press conference held on Oct. 2 that he formed a new political party “The Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan.” Asked about the most important point of this election, Edano said, “It is to stop Abe administration’s rampage that destroyed constitutionalism, misappropriated politics and expanded income disparity.” He then added that he saw the limit in top-down politics and intended to focus on grass-roots democracy in economic and social measures. While pushing for postponement of consumption tax hike, no nuclear and opposition of Article 9 revision, Edano said he was considering cooperation with diverse citizens, namely collaboration with ‘Shimin Rengo (Citizens United),’ rather than focusing on relationships with other political parties.” He also emphasized that his party represents workers’ viewpoints. With the press conference marking a powerful kickoff of the new party, Edano was scheduled to register his party the next day along with several politicians who responded to his call. (By M)

安倍政権の暴走を止める！～枝野幸男氏が「立憲民主党」を立ち上げる

10月2日午後5時、枝野幸男氏はホテルニューオータニで会見を開き「立憲民主党」の

結成を宣言した。選挙の最大の争点を問われ、枝野氏は「立憲主義を破壊し、政治を

私物化し、格差拡大を進めた安倍政権の暴走を止めること」と明確に述べた。また

「これまでの上からのトップダウンのやり方は限界。経済も社会もボトムアップ型に

し“草の根民主主義”を重視したい」と強調した。政策については「消費税凍結、原

発ゼロ推進、安倍の9条改憲反対」を挙げた。野党共闘については「他党との関係と

いうことではなく、幅広い市民との連携を考えている。具体的には“市民連合”と連

携する」とした。また「立ち位置は働くものの立場である」ことも明確にし、安倍政

権打倒を掲げた力強いスタート会見となった。この呼びかけに応えた議員と共に3日

‘I could not let go of a cultish, rightist school’~City council member reveals dubious Moritomo ordeal

“I am stunned to see how the case has attracted so much attention,” said KIMURA Makoto, a Toyonaka city council member (see photo) who triggered the Moritomo Gakuen School ordeal, during the protest at the Diet on March 30. The protest calls for pursuit of the Moritomo case and resignation of Abe administration every Thursday. With about 500 people in the crowd, lawmakers from Minshin, the Communist and Social Democratic parties demanded that the parliament pursuit the truth behind the suspicious dealings behind the Moritomo school. “I knew a gross teaching of Tsukamoto kindergarten, where they made students recite the Imperial Rescript on Education,” Kimura said. “It came out of my genuine wish to ‘crush’ the plan to build the elementary school in our city of Toyonaka. I could not let go of the plan to build a cultish, right-wing school in my city. I don’t agree with ‘sontaku’ to make a decision through assuming best of what someone higher up wishes. If there was a political pressure gestured, that is not considered, ‘sontaku.’ We need to examine where the pressure came from and must speak louder in demand for Abe’s resignation.” (By M)

「事件がこんなに大きくなってビックリしている」。森友疑惑を暴く端緒を開いた豊

中市議の木村真さん（写真）は、3月30日の国会前行動の集会で開口一番こう述べ

た。毎週木曜に行われている「森友疑惑徹底究明！安倍内閣は退陣せよ！国会前行

動」だが、この日も約500人が集まった。民進（小川敏夫）・共産（宮本たけし）・

社民（福島みずほ）の各国会議員がスピーチし「国会の場で徹底究明を求めていく」

と強調した。木村市議はこう思いを語った。「教育勅語など塚本幼稚園の異様でおぞ

ましい教育を知っていたが、私たちの豊中市にその小学校ができるとわかって“つぶ

したい”というのが率直な気持ちだった。うちの町にカルト右翼学園ができることは

許せなかった」「忖度という言い方はおかしいと思う。具体的な政治的圧力があれば

忖度ではない。その圧力の実態を解明して、安倍やめろの声を大きくしていこう」と
