‘August 6 Hiroshima/Nagasaki Memorial Gathering’ in Germany ~ Shin Su-gok also participated

 

“Hiroshima/Nagasaki no kai” held a memorial gathering to commemorate the 72^nd anniversary of atomic bombing at 7 p.m. on Aug. 6 at Hiroshima/Nagasaki Park in Cologne. In addition to the message from the mayor of Cologne (member of Mayors for Peace), the head of the park's district (Greens party) also addressed the crowd. Shin Su-gok (political activist), who we invited as a special guest from Japan, made a powerful speech. While giving a silent prayer each before the monument, SHIMIZU Yoshiro (president of Cologne Tenri Culture Workshop) continued playing traditional Japanese wind instrument Sho. This year, because the Toyo Art Museum is under construction, the pond’s water level was extremely low, and the coast was cloudy with contamination. So the participants abandoned the annual Toro-nagashi (flowing lights), and decided to just put the lanterns on the fence of the pond. ドイツ・ケルンで「8月6日 ヒロシマ・ナガサキ祈念集 会」～辛淑玉さんも参加

ケルンのヒロシマ・ナガサキの会は、72回目の原爆 投下を記念して、8月6日の19時

よりケルンのヒロシマ・ナガサ キ・公園で記念集会を催しました。ケルン市長（平

和市長の会） のメッセージ、公園の所在区の区長（緑の党）からのスピーチに加

え、特別ゲストとして滞独中の辛珠玉さんをお招きし、力強いス ピーチをして頂く

ことができました。祈念碑の前でそれぞれが、黙 祷を捧げる間、志水美郎さん（ケ

ルン天理文化工房主宰）が笙の 演奏を続けて下さいました。恒例の「灯籠流し」

は、今年は東洋 美術館が工事中で、そのため池の水位が極端に低く、沿岸は不純物

で濁っており、筏を流すことは断念し、池のフェンスの台に乗せる だけに留めまし

た。残念ではありましたが、満月の加勢も得、それ なりによい鎮魂の時となりまし

‘NORIKOENET: We Shall Overcome’ launched to create a symbiotic society ~ TV program on ‘anti-racism’ on its way ~

   

The kick-off press conference of the ‘NORIKOENET : international network to overcome the hate speech and racism’ was held at a live music club in Shinjuku’s Korea Town of Shin-okubo on September 25. Eleven co-representatives including Shin Sugok spoke on what they thought about this issue. “Although I had no defect at all then, I received a bashing and was excluded from the society. People were telling me to ‘drop dead!’ or to ‘get out!’ Now, I live in Kagoshima (far from Tokyo), but hearing about the recent spread of hate speech, I was so surprised at such a terrible situation. When human-rights education is considered important, we shouldn’t leave it as it is. Isn’t there anybody who raises his/her voice? I joined the NORIKOENET, wishing to put a brake on it,” said KOHNO Yoshiyuki, who was abused by news media in the sarin gas attack in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture. The network is planning to launch actions for the symbiotic society, including the measures to deter the hate demonstrations. In addition, it is planning to deliver a program on the ‘niconico live’ internet television to debate racism and related issues especially with “conservatives.”

「のりこえねっと」共生社会めざしてスタート～「反レイシズム」の番組制作も
 

「のりこえねっと―ヘイトスピーチとレイシズムを乗り越える国際ネットワーク」のキックオフ記者会見が、9月25日昼、新大久保のライブハウスで開かれた。辛 淑玉さんら11人の共同代表がずらっと並んで思いを述べた。松本サリン事件の報道被害者・河野義行さんは、「あの時自分にはまったく瑕疵がないのに、世の 中からバッシングされ排除された。“お前は死ね”“出て行け”と言われる体験をした。いまは鹿児島に住んでいるが、今回のヘイトスピーチのことを聞いて、 こんなひどい事態になっているのかと驚いた。人権教育と言われている時代にこんなことを放っておいていいのか、誰も言う人はいないのか。自分も歯止めをか けたいと思い参加した」。同会はヘイトデモ対策を始め、共生社会をめざした活動を計画している。また、ニコ生で「反レイシズム」番組配信を予定しており 「行動保守」の人たちとも論戦をしていくという。（M）
