Give us work rules that allow us to go home in eight hours〜Internet petition launched

 

A joint action to protect employment launched a petition to demand from the government a set of work rules for decent life with eight-hour work. Many people work long hours and complain how they can only see their children sleeping, can’t go home before their bosses finish work, work late and barely make it to the last train home, go home only to sleep, wonder how much longer they can last.

 Nearly 500 workers compensation cases are approved every year where the workers died of karoshi or karoshi suicide due to health deterioration from excess work hours. But this is only a tip of the iceberg. The deterioration of health due to overwork is not an issue that can be solved only by the effort of workers or employers. We need stronger regulations, and the labor standard law should be revised. To change the society so harsh to many and the way we work, please help us with our eight-hour-work project. ８時間働いたら帰る、暮らせるワークルールを！～ネッ ト署名はじまる

雇用共同アクションの呼びかけで「８時間働いたら 帰る、暮らせるワークルールをつくろう。」のネット署名（日本政 府宛）が始まりました。……「寝ている子どもにしか会えない。 『パパ、また来てね』と言われた。」「上司の仕事が終わるまで 帰れない。」「終電まで連日働いていて、平日は家で寝るだけ。」 「カラダがもたない、いつまで働けるかわからない。」 巷では、 こうした嘆きを抱えながら、働く人がたくさんいます。長時間労働 や夜勤交替制労働など、過重な負担を強いる働かせ方によって心身 の健康を損ない、過労死や過労自死に至る人の数は、労災認定さ れるケースだけでも、毎年５００人近くに及びます。しかも、それ は氷山の一角です。過労による心身の健康破壊の問題は、働く人や 個々の経営者の努力だけでは解決できません。法律による規制強 化が必要です。労働基準法の改正がなんとしても重要です。 生き づらい今の社会と働き方を変えるため、「わたしの仕事８時間」 プロジェクトに、ご協力ください。（呼びかけより） 

Urgent petition spreads to demand Japanese government not sell submarines to Australia

 Network Against Japan Arms Trade (NAJAT) called for an urgent petition demanding that “the Japanese government not sell submarines to Australia!” and the campaign is spreading as it has gathered more than 9,000 signatures. NAJAT plans to submit them to the government on April 15.

 The following is from the appeal:

 What has emerged suddenly as the first major initiative of arms export by the Abe administration is the export of submarines to Australia. Japan has entered the bid this year with Soryu-type submarines over the 12 submarines, which Australian government is planning to introduce, against arms industries of Germany and France. Not to mention, a submarine is nothing other than weaponry equipped with torpedoes and anti-ship missiles. If the public-private sector consortium won this bid to build submarines, Japan would be taking a step into working as ‘a merchant of death.’ Raise your voice so that we can keep Japan as a state that refuses to export weapons and to keep ‘Made in Japan’ synonymous with peace industries. 

日本政府はオーストラリアに潜水艦を売るな！～広 がる緊急署名
 

 武器輸出反対ネットワーク＜NAJAT＞が呼びかけ た「緊急署名:日本政府はオーストラリアに潜水艦を売る な！」が広がっています。短期間で9000人を突破し、15日に は政府に提出する予定です。以下よびかけから…。安倍政権 による武器輸出の最初の大型案件として急浮上してきたの が、オーストラリアへの潜水艦輸出です。オーストラリア政 府が導入を予定している次期潜水艦12隻をめぐって、2016年 現在、ドイツ・フランスの軍需産業とともに、日本の「そう りゅう」型潜水艦が受注を競っています。言うまでもなく潜 水艦は、魚雷や対艦ミサイルを装備した兵器にほかなりませ ん。今回、日本の官民連合が潜水艦を受注することは、日本 が「死の商人国家」へと歩みを進めていく画期となってしま うでしょう。日本が武器を輸出しない国でありつづけるため に―「Made in Japan」が平和産業の代名詞でありつづける ために、一緒に声をあげてください！
