‘Conspiracy bill is unconstitutional!’ ‘We’ll never give up!’ ～The fight against the bill continues

  A great number of citizens gathered in front of the Diet Building and sat in all night from June 14 to 15 after the news broke out that the ruling coalition was to force the conspiracy bill in the parliamentary session that night. “The members of Liberal Democratic Party hooted and jeered fiercely, but those scenes were never showed on TV,” one demonstrator said. “We should not be discouraged or withered even if the bill passes,” KAITO Yuichi, a lawyer, addressed the protesters at a rally, “Let us keep fighting against this evil law.” KOIKE Akira from the Japan Communist Party said, “There has never been a voting so unfair and terrible in the past! We will never give up!”  ITOKAZU Keiko from the parliamentary group Wind of Okinawa, who took the ox-walking tactic to protest the voting, said, “I am filled with anger and grief.”  FUKUSHIMA Mizuho from the Social Democratic Party and two other lawmakers also ox-walked, but their votes were counted as invalid because of the time they took to cast the vote, which was over two minutes. “(They ignored) how significant these three votes were!” she said, expressing her outrage.  共謀罪は違憲！ 国会前徹夜の座り込み～ 「あきらめないたたかい」はつづく

 
6月14日から15日朝、与党による共謀罪法案「強行 採決迫る」の緊急事態を受け、議員会館前にはたくさんの市民が集 い、徹夜の座り込みが続いた。傍聴した人の話では、「自民党の ヤジがひどいが、テレビではそれは一切消されている」とのことだ った。海渡雄一弁護士は「共謀罪が通っても萎縮せず、この悪法と たたかっていきましょう！」と呼びかけた。日本共産党・小池晃 さんは「こんなひどい採決はない！今後もあきらめない」と語っ た。牛歩をした沖縄の風・糸数慶子さんは「嘆きと怒りでいっぱ いだ」と。また社民党・福島みずほさんは「牛歩をした3人の議員 （森裕子・又市征治・福島みずほ）が投票したにもかかわらず、2 分の制限時間を過ぎたとして投票無効とされた。この3票がどれほ ど価値があるものか！」と怒りを露わにした。今後も市民と野党 の共闘、「あきらめないたたかい」はつづく。（見雪恵美）

We can no longer stand further destruction of our society! ~ 18,000 surround the Diet building against Henoko, Conspiracy Bill

 

YASUDA Koichi, a journalist who is covering Okinawa, emphasized in his speech: “In Henoko and Takae, police are suppressing protesters as they want under the current law. We must not give them any more ammunition called, Conspiracy Act. We have the right to resist up to the last minute. How can we stand further destruction of our society!” On June 10, 18,000 surrounded the Diet Building to “Stop the Landfill in Henoko! Scrap the Conspiracy Bill!” The surroundings of the Diet Building were filled with hot fury. From the ground of Okinawa, INAMINE Susumu, the mayor of Nago City, and ASHITOMI Hiroshi, co-chairperson of the Okinawa Helipad opposition council, joined the protest and strongly called out to the demonstrators, "We will continue the non-violent resistance without ever giving up." Participants held signs that showed their disgust against the viciousness of Abe administration. Some raised senryu satirial poetry that read, “(Abe) thinks all his lies are not enough, (he) adds insolent mouth.” Many voluntary members of Sokagakkai also joined the demonstration. Sokagakkai, whose members are major supporters of the Komeito, the junior coalition party of the Abe agovernment, has its history of being suppressed by the Maintenance of Public Order Act of the war era. When asked, a woman holding three-color flag of their religious organization answered, “Many members are suffering.” (By M)

沖縄を取材しているジャーナリスト安田浩一さんが 語気を強めた。「辺野古・高江では、現行法でも警察はやりたい 放題の弾圧をしている。そのうえ、共謀罪という武器を与えては ならない。私たちにはギリギリの抵抗をする権利がある。これ以 上、社会を壊されてたまるか！」。6月10日の「止めよう！辺野古 埋立て 共謀罪法案は廃案に！国会大包囲」には18000人が集ま り、国会周辺は怒りの熱気に包まれた。沖縄現地からは、稲嶺進名 護市長や安次富浩氏らが参加し、「非暴力であきらめずに抵抗を 続ける」と力強く語った。参加者のプラカードをみると、安倍政権 のひどさに呆れかえる言葉ばかり。レイバーネットの川柳デモでは 「嘘八百まだ足りないと減らず口」の句もあった。また創価学会 員の有志が多数参加していた。治安維持法で弾圧された歴史のあ る創価学会。三色旗を手にした女性に聞くと「悩んでいる人は多 い」という。（M）

Strong opposition to the conspiracy bill echoes around the Diet

 

On Feb. 2, members of a citizen's group, Anti-Protection of Confidential Information, called out for an action to appeal to the members of the Diet to abolish the current anti-terrorism and terrorism related bills (what is called Conspiracy Bills ) in front of the Diet Building.

 About 100 participants from various citizen's groups, each carrying hand-made signs, rushed to the Diet where the "Conspiracy Bills” are under deliberation in the House of Representatives.

 YAMAZOE Takuya, a lower-house member, said, "The bills have not been submitted to the assembly yet, but the government's anti-terrorism measures are completely illogical and full of inconsistencies. KAITO Yuichi, a lawyer, told that the government repeats a pack of lies and asserts that they have to strengthen counter terrorism ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The UN treaty that’s being discussed has nothing to do with anti-terrorism measures. Japan has already ratified every necessary counter terrorism treaty so that we are well prepared. It is a fact that the public are still less concerned about the issue.

 The organizers of the action asked the participants not to let the lower-house members submit the bills to the Diet and also to appeal to the public the danger of its scope being expanded almost without limit.

 Then, the people divided into small groups and visited each member of the lower house to urge them to implement their requests.(M)

話しあうことが罪になる共謀罪はNO！～国会前で声上げる

「秘密保護法」廃止へ！実行委員会が呼びかけた共 謀罪反対の国会前行動が、2月6

日昼に取り組まれた。参加者は約 100名で、様々な市民団体メンバーが手作りプラ

カードを持って駆 けつけた。集会で山添拓参院議員は、「法律はまだ提出されてい

ないが、前段の国会論戦で政府側のテロ対策の論理が破綻し、矛盾 だらけになって

いる」。海渡雄一弁護士は「政府はウソばかり。い ま言われている国連条約批准と

テロ対策とは関係ない。日本はテ ロに関する国連条約は全て批准していて、テロ対

策は現状で十分で きる」と語った。しかし「市民の関心はまだ低い」（藤沢の会）

のも現実。国会提出をさせないこと、世論に広く危険性を訴えてい くことが課題で

あると、主催者は呼びかけた。参加者はこのあと、 手分けをして各議員に対して

「法案提出をしないよう」要請に取 り組んだ。（M）
