People stage an international protest at Hitachi Co in protest against nuclear export

“Hitachi should not export nuclear power plants!” “People of Lithuania said no to nuclear power plants in the referendum!” 

 Members of the NGOs from Russia, India and Jordan, opposing to the policy to export nuclear power plants, negotiated with the officials of Finance Ministry and Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan on March 19. After the press conference, they carried out the action with banners in hands in front of Hitachi headquarters in Tokyo. The Japanese reactor maker intends to export nuclear power plants to Lithuania and other countries. More than a dozen participants gathered from overseas including Park Chong Seok, a fixed-term employee of Hitachi and an organizer of the lawsuit against the nuclear reactor builders, and a French journalist. In Lithuania, people voted against against building of a new nuclear power plant in the referendum two years ago. ( SATO Kazuyuki ) 


「原発輸出反対！」日立本社前で国際抗議行 動～3.19バナーアクション

 「日 立は原発を輸出するな！」「リトアニア国民は国民投票で原発反対！」。３月１９日（木）午前、ロシア・インド・ヨルダンのNGO関係者が、日本の原発輸出 政策に反対し、財務省・経済産業省と交渉を行いました。また午後からは記者会見も行われ、午後３時３０分からは、東京・丸の内の日立製作所本社前で、日立 が行おうとしている、リトアニアなどへの原発輸出に反対して、雨の中、バナーアクションを決行。参加者は、各国から結集した十数 人で、朴鐘碩さん(日立製 作所嘱託所員・「原発メーカー訴訟の会」事務局長)やフランス人ジャーナ リストも駆け付けました。リトアニアでは２年前の国民投票により、原発の新規建設 に対して、国民が明確に「ノー！」という選択をしています。（佐藤和之）

Nuclear plant manufacturer Hitachi out of Lithuania now! – Appeal by ethnic Korean Hitachi worker

Hitachi’s export of nuclear power plants to Lithuania has to be stopped in order to prevent the pre-war “colonial power” from expanding its influence. The promotion of nuclear power as a state policy has generated internal colonies in Japan. I live in an in-house colony where I am “forced” to be silenced. Silence enhances discrimination and oppression. Our struggle against Hitachi’s employment discrimination against ethnic Koreans was a joint one of Japanese and Korean youths who worried about the future and demanded social change. It was the 1970s when nuclear power was promoted in Japan and its “ethnicity” was highlighted to strengthen its concept as a nation state. The struggle against Hitachi was that against colonialism for demanding war criminals to be held accountable, although it was criticized by an ethnic Korean organization as leading to assimilation. * Photo: Park – In 1970, his employment to Hitachi was revoked due to his South Korean nationality. However, he won the lawsuit against the manufacturer in 1974 and was finally employed by it. He retired last year and has become a fixed-term employee of Hitachi ever since.

原発メーカー日立の小国リトアニアからの撤退を！
～在日社員がアピール

戦前の「宗主国」の植民地拡大を阻止するために日立製作所のリトアニアへの原発輸出は絶対阻止しなければなりません。国策に便乗した原発体制は、国内植民地 を生み出しました。私は、沈黙を「強要」された企業内植民地で生きていますが、沈黙は差別と抑圧を助長します。原発メーカーである日立製作所の就職差別糾弾闘争は、生き方に悩み、社会変革を求めた２０歳前後の日本人・韓国人の青年との共同闘争でした。原発体制が推進された７０年代、国民国家を煽る「民族」 が前面に出された時代でした。日立闘争は、同化の繋がると批判した民族団体から見放されましたが、戦争責任を追求した植民地主義との闘いでした。（朴鐘碩さんの1/12アピール）
