Nakaima lost his soul! Action in front of the Diet in solidarity with Okinawa

As of December 27, a protest sit-in around the Okinawa Prefectural Hall is continuing, as governor NAKAIMA Hirokazu intends to approve the landfill at Henoko to make a new US base. In Tokyo, citizens raised their voices in solidarity with the Okinawa people in front of the Prime Minister’s office and the Diet. On December 26, angry voices were heard in front of the Diet; “Prime minster Abe intimidated Nakaima into breaking the unity of people of Okinawa. I will never forgive him.” “Nakaima lost his soul. The people of Okinawa are sitting-in to recover the soul. Let’s fight in solidarity!” The leader of the plaintiffs in the Futenma base suit, SHIMADA Zenji, reported from Okinawa  by phone and was heard through loud speakers. Protest actions will continue on December 27 and 28 in front of the Defense Ministry. (M)

仲井真知事はマブイ（魂）を失った！～沖縄と連帯して国会前行動

12月27日にも、仲井真知事が辺野古の埋め立て承認に踏み切る状況の中で、沖縄では県庁包囲座り込みが連日続いている。東京でも連帯して、24～26日官邸前・国会前で市民たちが声を上げた。26日国会前、「安倍が仲井真知事を恫喝して、オール沖縄をズタズタにした。絶対に許せない」「仲井真知事はマブイ（魂）を失ってしまった。沖縄の人たちはマブイを取り戻せ、と座り込みでたたかっている。連帯しよう」。怒りの発言が続いた。また現地沖縄からは島田善次さん（普天間爆音訴訟団長）が、電話で現地報告を寄せ「ともにたたかおう」の声がスピーカーを通じて国会前に響いた。抗議行動は防衛省前に場所を移して、27、28日も続く。(M)

Restart of No-nukes: Citizens’ anger surrounds the Diet

On December 22, 15 thousand people formed a human chain around the Diet building to protest the restart of nuclear power plants. The protest, organized by the Metropolitan Coalition Against Nukes, followed a rally held at the Hibaya Open Air Music Hall. The organizer of the action greeted the participants by saying, ”Let’s raise our voices to shut down all nuclear power plants!” The human chain started out with a samba rhythm  that was followed by speeches by lawmakers. The roads around the Diet and Diet Members Building were full of messages and performances showing citizens’ anger and spirit. (NISHINAKA Seiichiro)

「原発ゼロ」に向かって再出発～市民の怒りの声が国会を大包囲

12月22日、「年内トドメの抗議!! 再稼働反対☆国会大包囲網」（主催：首都圏反原発連合）が開催され、約1万5千人が国会を包囲した。日比谷野外音楽堂で開催された集会が終わると、国会議員会館前には続々と市民が集まってきた。「原発ゼロベースを基盤とすべき。必ず原発ゼロにすることを誓って、声を上げていきましょう！」という主催者挨拶 とサンバチームのリズムに乗って、「国会大包囲」はスタートした。衆参国会議員も日比谷野音での集会から駆けつけ、次々に発言した。国会議員会館から、国会正門前に続く道筋には、ひとりひとりの思いや怒りが籠ったパフォーマンスやメッセージが繰り広げられた。（西中誠一郎）

Second demonstration to demand reinstatement from NPC Inc.

Union GKI and its supporters organized a second demonstration against NPC Nihon Insatsu, a printing company in Yushima, Tokyo, on December 16 to demand reinstatement of aunion member. 90 protesters including workers from the community and other dismissed workers gathered in the cold wind in front of the Ueno Community Hall then marched chanting “NPC Inc. should obey the Tokyo Metropolitan Labor Relations Board order” and “Reinstate our member!” The chant cry was raised when the demonstrators passed by the main office of the company, where some workers were still doing overtime work. 不当解雇撤回もとめて日本印刷に第2波デモ～約90人が参加

労組ジーケーアイと支える会は、12月16日、当組合員を不当に解雇した日本印刷（文京区湯島）に対し、組合員の職場復帰を求めて、2回目のデモ行進を決行しました。夜風が冷たい午後6時30分、上野区民館前の公園入口に、なかまユニオン・ひめじや分会、新宿地区労センター、台東労組連絡会、郵政産業労働者ユニオン、ＪＡＬ不当解雇撤回原告団など、約90名が結集してデモ隊は出発。「日本印刷は都労委命令を守れ！」「日本印刷は組合員を職場に戻せ！」などの シュプレヒコールを上げました。残業社員の姿が見える日本印刷の社前では、ひときわ大きな声で怒りを叩き付けました。（佐藤和之）
