South Korea: 1 million people demand resignation of President Park in largest demonstration since 1987

Around 1 million people took to the streets of Seoul on Nov. 12 demanding the president step down. Their rage almost reached a level of revolution. Many Japanese comrades joined the crowd, including an activist SONO Ryota who sent live-twitcast footage from Ground Zero.
“The central Seoul is filled with demonstrators!” Sono reported. “We are all in this together! Road’s blocked! This is great! The road in front of the president’s office is completely blocked with people who filled eight lanes of a street for a kilometer distance. TV broadcast when students rushed into the president’s office. Students are trying to push through a line of riot police.”
YASUDA Yukihiro of Labornet International commented, “There are three records broken by demonstrators in Seoul on today; 1) The eight lanes on the street in front Gwanghwamun Gate had never been open to demonstrators; 2) People filled the streets from Sejong the Great to the Anguk rotary for the first time in Korea’s history; 3) The number of demonstrators exceeded 1 million. People say that 1 million Koreans gathered to welcome Pope Francisco on his visit, but you can tell there were clearly more people this time when you compare the photos. The independent media,

Chamsesang , reports the demonstration in details with photos.
