First anti-nuke action in 2015

The first anti-nuke Friday action of this year was held in front of the Office of the Prime Minister on January 9, 2015. 300 tons of high-level radioactive materials are still flowing to the Pacific Ocean and spreading to the atmosphere from the crippled Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant every day. The Abe Administration, which is unable to stop the flow, pretends that the disaster has been contained and tries to restart nuclear power plants in Japan in defiance of public opinion. Many of the participants in the action are elders despite the winter cold, who show strong determination to abolish the plants for the future generations. FUKUSHIMA Mizuho, an upper house member and the senior vice president of the opposition Social Democratic Party, said, “Nobody can take responsibility for damage caused by an accident of a nuclear power plant or war. That’s because I say No Nukes! No War!” (Shinya)
