At 2pm June 24, 2200 people gathered at
Nishifunabashi Kinrin Park in Chiba Prefecture to protest Prime Minister Noda’s decision to restart the
Oi nuclear power plant. The Prime Minister lives in Funabashi City.

They raised their voices against Noda’s decision to restart the Oi nuclear
power plant without having clarified the true cause of the Fukushima Disaster.
The rally ended with a march to Funabashi station at 3pm Participants in this
demonstration, the biggest in Funabashi City for many decades, were greeted
with cheers and calls of support on their arrival at the station. (MT)
野田首相の地元・船橋で2200人が「再稼働止めろ」のデモ
6 月24日（日）午後２時、西船橋近隣公園で大飯原発再稼働を決めた野田首相に抗議する集会に東京や関東そして地元千葉県から2200人が集まった。東京か らの参加者は三鷹駅発の中央総武線の千葉行き各駅電車に「オキュパイ」して西船橋駅に集まった（写真）。参加者は福島第一原発事故の原因も明らかにされな いまま、原発の再稼働を決めた野田首相に対して怒りの発言を行った。午後３時から市の中心の船橋駅まで抗議のデモを行った。22日の首相官邸を包囲した4 万人の怒りが野田首相の地元に波及して、船橋市でまれにみる大きなデモとなった。デモ隊が船橋駅周辺に到着すると多くの市民が反原発の声援を送った。＜報 道部ＭＴ＞
