Money or life?! Demand for “No nukes now!” in front of the Parliament on 3.11

March 11 of this year is the fifth anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake and the disaster of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. Our struggle against the pro-nuke Abe administration and the nuclear mafia never ends. On March 9, the Otsu District Court in Shiga Prefecture, near Kyoto, ordered that the Takahama Nuclear Power Plant be stopped, and this decision encouraged the protest in front of the Office of the Prime Minister and the Parliament with even bigger voice of protest. The area was full of protesters. According to the organizer, the number of the participants was 6,000. In front of the Prime Minister’s Office, a woman on a wheelchair criticized Prime Minister Abe, saying, “On March 9, PM Abe enjoyed dinner with a director of Nihon Keizai Shimbun (Japan Economic Journal), and he did the same with WATANABE Tsuneo, the chairperson of Yomiuri Shimbun, Japan’s most widely circulated newspaper, ten times last year. Thus, Abe makes the media avoid writing anything unfavorable for him”. 金もうけかいのちか！～3.11 反原発の声鳴り響いた国会周辺

3月11日金曜日、5年目の3.11を迎えた。5年たっても原発再稼働を推し進める安倍政権ら原子力ムラとのたたかいは終わらない。2日前に滋賀県の大津地裁で「高浜原発停止命令」が出て、この夜で187回になる官邸前・国会前の抗議行動は勢いをましていた。ひときわ大きな声、声、声が国会周辺に鳴りひびいた。国会前から希望のエリアにむけて進もうにも、ぎっしり人波で埋まっていた。主催者は「参加者は6000人」と発表した。スピーチする人々も多様で、官邸前では車椅子の女性が、安倍首相がマスコミ対策で「一昨日は日本経済新聞社の幹部と夕食し、昨年は読売の渡辺恒雄と10回も会食して、自分に都合の悪い ことは書かせない」と批判していた。反原発のたたかいは、金もうけのために明日のことを考えない権力亡者と、明日へのいのちをつなごうとする日本の民衆とのたえざるせめぎ合いなのだ。（木下昌明） 

2000 gather outside Sendai Nuclear Power Plant from across Japan; Report of August 10 protest

At 8.30am on August 10, we were standing right in front of the main gate of the Kyushu Electric Power Company's Sendai nuclear power plant, together with . Japan was about to have an active nuclear reactor, ending a period of no nukes realized and lasted for some time after the Fukushima disaster of March 11, 2011. The government had rushed to the restart: People living outside of the range of 10km radius were left without emergency evacuation plans; No one had been fully assured of the safety. The protesters outside the Sendai power plant came from all over Japan, including Fukushima, Tokyo and neighboring prefectures and various places where other nuclear power plants are located. We all regarded the issue as theirs; It is not just a matter for people of Kagoshima, the prefecture where the Sendai plant is located. “No one has ever been held responsible for the Fukushima disaster: No one is ready to take the responsibility for possible accidents to come. Japan is not qualified to run a nuclear reactor.” Many of us stood on top of the car, parked there in face of numerous policemen and other security personnel surrounding the protesters, one after another to speak to the others there. “The government has chosen the Sendai plant as the first to reactivate because it is the farthest from Tokyo among all the nuclear power plants, I think. They discriminate against the residents of regions far from the capital. Don't insult the residents of Kyushu!” shouted a woman from Oita, a prefecture in Kyushu. A former worker at a nuclear power plant spoke of his desire to stop recurrence of the tragic experience he and his co-workers had. “We just cannot understand at all,” said a French protester. In Tokyo, protest was staged outside the branch office of Kyushu Electric Power Company in the evening of August 11. Many of the protesters had just returned from Kagoshima.

 ８月１０日、朝８時半。九州電力川内原発 ゲートの真ん前に私たちは立っていた。３・１１後、原発ゼロを実現してきた日本が、再び原発時代を始 めようとしている。１０キロ圏外の避難計画はなく、安全性には何の確信もない中での見切り発車。地 元・鹿児島だけの問題ではないと、福島から、首都圏から、そして全国の原発地域から人々が集まった。 「いまだ福島原発事故に誰も責任をとっていない。その覚悟もない。そんな国に 原発を動かす資格はな い」 おびただしい警備の中に堂々と置かれた宣伝カーの上で、次々とマイクをにぎる。大分県の女性は 「東京から川内が一番遠いから再稼働第一号になったんだと思 う。九州をバカにするな。田舎差別だ」と 叫ぶ。「自分たちのような悲劇をくりかえさないでほしい」と訴える元原発作業員、 「われわれの理解力 を超えている」と語るフランス人も。（堀切さとみ）

Isn’t Japan a law-abiding country? Statement from plaintiffs of Fukushima lawsuit on the case dropped

On September 9, 2013, Japan’s Public Prosecutors Office dropped a case against responsible persons in the Japanese Government and Tokyo Electric Power Company for the Fukushima nuclear disaster, which was filed by nearly 15,000 plaintiffs, as if the office was hiding in the excitement of a decision by the International Olympic Committee that Tokyo will host the Games in 2020. The case was even unusually transferred from the Fukushima District Public Prosecutors Office to the Tokyo counterpart. This closes an option for the plaintiffs to submit the matter to the Fukushima Committee for Inquest of Prosecution and is totally unacceptable. The group of the plaintiffs released a statement against this unjust decision. It will file complaints against the committee in Tokyo immediately on this decision. Its accusation does not target politicians like KAN Naoto, former prime minister. He has been accused by another group.

In addition, the group published a book “Isn’t it still possible to hold them accountable? - Statement by 50 plaintiffs on the Fukushima nuclear disaster”. On September 13, 2013, there was a talk show for the publication of the book at the Anti-Nuke Tent that stands in front of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). Two days before the event, a human chain surrounded the ministry to demand it to stop attempting to restart nuclear power plants, liquidate Tokyo Electric Power Company and concentrate on measures to prevent radiation-contaminated water from leaking. The human chain was joined by people who live near nuclear power plants that are far from Tokyo. On September 12, a third trial was held at the Tokyo District Court over the removal of the tent. There, FUCHIGAMI Taro, one of the persons in charge of the tent, requested the court not to approve the removal.

日本は法治国家ではないのか！　福島原発告訴団　不起訴を受けて声明・

福島原発告訴団が昨年、１万５千人近い告訴人を集めて行った政府・東電関係者の刑事告訴・告発に対し、９月９日、検察庁は、東京五輪決定の喧騒に紛れるかのように全員を不起訴とする決定を行いました。しかも、あろうことか、事件を福島地検から東京地検に「移送」するという暴挙を行いました。これは、告訴人らが事件を福島検察審査会に附議する道を閉ざすものであり、許し難いものです。この不当きわまりない決定に対し、福島原発告訴団が声明、団長談話を発表しました。告訴団は、今後、直ちに検察審査会に不起訴処分を不服とする申し立てを行います。申し立て先は東京の検察審査会となる見込みです。なお、福島原発告訴団による告訴・告発は政治家を対象としていません。報道されている菅直人・元首相らに対する告訴・告発は福島原発告訴団によるものではありません。 ＊写真＝東京地検要請行動（今年2月）

また、告訴団は「これでも罪を問えないのですか！～福島原発告訴団50人の陳述書」を出版し、9月13日、経産省前テント前で、出版を記念するトークイベントが開催された。経産省前テントでは、満２年を迎えた9月11日夜、ヒューマンチェーンでの経産省包囲行動が行われ、福島をはじめ、泊、若狭、川内、伊方など遠方の原発立地からの参加者も加わって、経産省に再稼働をやめ、経産省・エネ庁は東電を解体し、汚染水対策に専念するよう抗議・申入が行われた。9 月12日には、テントひろば撤去をめぐる第三回裁判が東京地裁であり、テント側からは「起訴事実の人違い問題」の追及、裁判却下を求める淵上太郎氏の意見表明などが行われた。
