I am not a slave ~ a worker sues NS Solutions Corp for sexual power harassment

  A contract worker at one of Japan’s major corporations NS Solutions filed a lawsuit at Tokyo District Court against the company for sexual harassment and power harassment on May 25. The plaintiff in her 30s wished to remain anonymous. “I have not been able to live a decent life ever since the harassment,” the victims said at a press conference. “I still feel very uneasy.” Her testimony illustrated horrendous damage sexual harassment imposes on victims. The Tokyo resident was terminated when she filed a complaint while the harasser stayed on in the hierarchical workplace where 90% of workers are men. The Facebook page the harasser, who was a department head, managed had a cover picture of a skull with the work, “OBEY” (see photo), which gave chills to the victim. “I cannot stand it any longer. I’m not a slave to this company,” she said standing up for her rights. (By M)

わたしはドレイではない！～「新日鉄住金ソリューショ ンズ」をセクハラ・パワハ

ラで提訴

日本を代表する大企業「新日鉄住金ソリューション ズ（株）」で起きたセクハラ・

パワハラ事件で、被害者の女性Aさ ん（契約社員）が5月25日、東京地裁に裁判を起

こした。その会見 が司法記者クラブで行われたが、「都内在住・30代の女性」とい

うだけで映像・写真・音声は一切不可という条件だった。「事件 が発生してから、

まともな人としての暮らしができない状況に陥 っており、精神的に不安で仕方な

い」とのことで、セクハラ被害の 凄まじさを物語っていた。90％が男性の上意下達

の職場で起きた 事件。契約社員の女性が受けたセクハラの被害は無視され、加害 者

は野放しで、逆に訴えたAさんが雇い止めにされた。加害者のX 課長がこれみよがし

にFBに上げたカバー写真には、ドクロの顔に 「OBEY」（従え！）の文字が掲げられ

ていた（写真）。Aさんは これをみて震え上がったという。しかしAさんは「もう我

慢の限 界。わたしは会社のドレイではない」と意を決して立ち上がっ た。（M）

Settlement of Nikon contract worker dismissal case

 

On June 28^th, an out-of-court settlement was reached in the dismissal case of a contract worker at Sagamihara Plant of Nikon Co.  in the Tokyo District Court. The plaintiff worked for the company for five and a half years as a temp agency worker and then was employed directly by the company as a contract worker. But he was denied renewal of his contract after the end of his first six month term. The Tokyo Youth Workers Union issued a statement on this case. “The settlement is amicable to the plaintiff. He joined our union to continue his fight for reinstatement. This settlement will be an encouragement to all casual workers. This victory showed the importance of casual workers  joining a union and fighting for their rights.” (Tokyo Youth Workers Union)

あきらめないでよかった！～「ニコン契約社員雇止め事件」が和解解決
 

東京地裁で争っていた、株式会社ニコン相模原製作所の契約社員雇い止め事件が2016年6月28日に和解解決をしました。以下、首都圏青年ユニオンからの声明から。「本和解は、原告本人が十分に納得できるものであると評価できる。この間の労働者派遣法と有期雇用契約を巡る労働争議において、『直雇用・正社員化』を願う労働者に厳しい判断が続く中で、今回の和解成立は画期的である。今回、ニコンで働いてきた原告が首都圏青年ユニオンに加入して争議をたたかい、 和解の道をひらいたことは、全国の非正規雇用で働く人々を大きく励ますことになったと確信する。本和解は、非正規労働者が労働組合に加入して、あきらめずにたたかうことがいかに重要かということを社会に示したものになった。首都圏青年ユニオン及び同顧問弁護団は、これからも非正規労働者の権利実現、労働条 件改善のためのあらゆる運動と連帯し、すべての働く者たちのために全力でたたかうことをここに改めて決意する。」（首都圏
