Apologize and Compensate for Forced Labor ! : Protest Action Take Place in front of Fujikoshi Tokyo HQ

 

 Korean women who were forcefully brought to Japan during the colonial period and worked for Fujikoshi staged a protest action with their supporters on June 8 in Shiodome area, a business district in Tokyo. The action took place for two hours in the early afternoon in front of the building where the company's main office in Tokyo is located.  About ten of some 60 protesters were those visiting from Korea. Among them were plaintiffs of the Second Fujikoshi Forced Mobilization and Labor Lawsuits and their families, the representative of Citizen's Group to Support Surviving Halmoni of Japanese Labor Corps based in Kwangju, a documentary filmmaker and a reporter of the Hankyoreh, a Korean daily newpaper. Participants from Japan were members of various unions and citizens' groups including Hokuriku Committee to Support the Second Fujikoshi Forced Mobilization and Labor Lawsuits, National Network for Lawsuits against Companies Involved in Forced Labor, Supporters of Plaintiffs of the Korean Female Labor Corp Case against Nagoya Mitsubishi, Kanagawa City Union and Kansai Cement Branch of Rentai Union.

In the rally, the victims of the forced labor, Kim Jeong-ju, Choe Hui-sun and Kim Gye-sun (photo) spoke of mortification, followed by chants of anger denouncing Fujikoshi by all the participants. (by SATO Kazuyuki)

強制連行・強制労働の責任をとれ！～不二越東京本社前で抗議行動

 

6月8日正午から2時まで、汐留住友ビル前において、不二越東京本社抗議行動が展開されました。 韓国から来日したのは、第2次不二越強制連行・強制労働訴訟 原告団とその家族、光州市で活動する「勤労挺身隊ハルモニと共にする市民の会」代表、ドキュメンタリー映像作家、ハンギョレ新聞の記者など約10名。日本 側は、同訴訟を支援する北陸連絡会、強制連行・企業責任追及裁判全国ネットワーク、名古屋三菱・朝鮮女子勤労挺身隊訴訟を支援する会、神奈川シティユニオ ン、連帯ユニオン関西生コン支部などから、約50名が結集しました。社前集会で、当該の金正珠さん・崔姫順さん・金啓順さん（写真）は悔しさを訴え、参加 者全員で怒りのシュプレヒコールを不二越に叩きつけました。（佐藤和之）

Anger and Prayer: Fukushima Women Conduct a Die-in

"Don't restart the operation of Oi Nuclear Power Plant, " read the letter to the Prime Minister that women from Fukushima handed to officials of Cabinet Office in the afternoon of June 7. Several hundred citizens gathered in front of Prime Minister's Official Residence on the day in response to the call for protest action by Fukushima Women against Nukes.

Nearly 15 months after the disaster of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, people of Fukushima still face enormous difficulties: Under the regulations that set 20mSv/year as the safety limit of exposure to radiation, those remain in their home towns live with a constant fear for health damages anticipated in the future and others who fled to safer places are separated from their families. The letter highlighted the continuing tragedy in Fukushima and strongly denounced the government of Prime Minister NODA Yoshihiko that had declared the settlement of the nuclear disaster before the cause of which had been determined and been heading toward exports of nuclear reactors and restart of nuclear power plants in Japan. Upon the delivery of the letter, 13 representatives of the protesters demanded a prompt reply from the government.

After debriefing for other protesters, women from Fukushima conducted a die-in for 10 minutes (photo) , accompanied by solemn music of cello. The action was concluded with Kansho Odori, a folk dance of Aizu Region of Fukushima that expresses people's anger and gratitude to the gifts of the earth. 「原発いらない福島の女たち」が怒りと祈りのダイイン

「大 飯原発の再稼働をしないで下さい」。6月7日午後、「原発いらない福島の女たち」が呼びかけ、首相官邸前に数百人が集まり、代表13名が野田首相宛の要望 書を内閣府に手渡した。福島原発事故から1年以上が経過した現在も、福島県内では年間被曝線量20mSv基準が押し付けられ、将来の健康被害に怯えなが ら、県内外で家族離散の避難生活を続けざるを得ない厳しい現状や、事故原因すら判明しないにも関わらず、事故収束宣言したり、原発輸出や再稼働を推し進め ようとする野田政権の責任を厳しく追及し、要望書への早急な回答を求めた。首相官邸前で待っていた人々への報告後、チェロの荘厳な音楽が奏でられる中、 10分間の「ダイイン」（写真）が行われた。行動の最後に、会津地方の民衆の怒りと大地の恵みに感謝する「かんしょ踊り」を参加者全員で踊り、原発再稼働 反対の怒りと、原発のない平和な人類社会への祈りが首相官邸前に満ちあふれた。（西中誠一郎） 

Believe in people power!~Urgent action at Prime Minister’s Office against resumption of Oi Nuclear Power Plant

 

“Don’t decide by yourself, PM Noda!” About 200 people joined the urgent action at Prime Minister’s Office on May 31, when the Cabinet ministers’ meeting was held. People wore tense, angry expressions on their faces as the prime minister was threatening to restart Oi Nuclear Power Plant. “We cannot let the four ministers ignore our calls. We cannot give up now. We must raise our voices together with people of Fukui Prefecture and let the prime minister hear them,” said SUGIHARA Koji, one of the action organizers. Aside of Noda, Minister of State for Nuclear Power Policy and Administration HOSONO Goshi, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry EDANO Yukio and Chief Cabinet Secretary FUJIMURA Osamu attended the meeting. 

 “Considering the safety alone, Oi plant should not be restarted,” YANAGIDA Makoto of No Nukes Plaza “Tanpopo-sha” said of Oi plant, which has no vent systems or earthquake-resistant management facilities. “The two-week period from today is very important. Believe in our power that drove all 50 nuclear power plants to suspension. Let’s put all our hearts into this action.” Yanagida called for joint actions planned at nuclear plants in Fukui and Ehime prefectures, which are threatened for restart. (By M)

 私たちの力を信じて全力尽くそう!～大飯再稼動反対で官邸前緊急アクション

「野 田首相、勝手に決めるな！」。大飯原発再稼動に大きく政府が動く中、5月31日夜、「閣僚会議に抗議！官邸前緊急アクション」が行われ約200人が参加し た（写真）。参加者の表情は険しかった。主催者の杉原浩司さんは「4閣僚の暴挙は許せない。ここであきらめるわけにはいかない。福井現地と連携して、官邸 にきちんと声をぶつけていこう」と訴えた。たんぽぽ舎の柳田真さんは「大飯原発には免震重要棟もベントもない。安全面だけでも再稼動はまったくおかしい。 これからの2週間が大事だ。これまで50基の原発を止めてきた私たちの力を信じて、全力をつくそう」と語り、福井（6/3）・伊方（6/10）の現地結集 や様々な行動への参加を訴えた。（М）

Diagnosed with depression due to power harassment at work—excerpts from Labor hotline in March 1

"Are you suffering any bullying or harassment at work?"

 1. I work in manufacturing. I was diagnosed with depression after being subjected to repeated power harassment from my boss, who threw a telephone at me and became violent physically and verbally. I was also unfairly transferred to a different section within the company.

2. My boss hounded me with questions that can be considered invasion of privacy. I refused to answer anything about my boyfriend, and the boss suddenly changed his attitude and began ignoring me and bullying me. Sooner or later, my colleagues stopped talking to me too.

3. My boss forces me to do things completely unreasonable. He says he is the next president and so I should obey his orders. He would get me out of bed in the middle of the night to accompany him to a bar.

4. I work at a company enlisted in the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The number of harassment cases has been increasing at the company with 100 workers. Even union members and management officials join in on this trend.

5. My boss harasses me at work. I started to experience stomach pain and insomnia, and recently I started thinking about suicide.

6. My boss makes fun of me by saying that I’m not educated. Even when I go to work on holidays, he shows no appreciation. (NPO Rodo-sodan Center; Labor Hotline)

 

 パワハラでうつ病になる～「職場のいじめ」労働相談事例3月分紹介

1、 メーカー。職場で上司から卓上の電話機を投げつけられるなどの暴行や罵声による度重なるパラハラや不当な異動が重なり、うつ病になる。 

2、上司が、私 のプ ライバシーを根ほり葉ほり聞いてきた。彼氏の事など答えないでいたら、態度を豹変させ、いじめや無視を始めだした。そのうちに同僚全体も口を聞いてくれなくなった。 

3、上司が「俺は次期社長だから、俺の言う事を聞いておけばいいんだよ」と次つぎと理不尽な要求を強いてくる。夜中でもたたき起こされ飲み に連れて行かれる。

4、東証一部上場企業。本社の100名の職場全体で、いじめ・パワハラ・陰口・・が最近どんどんエスカレートしてきている。労組役員、管理職も率先してやっている。

 5、上司のパワハラ。胃痛、夜も眠れなくなり、最近自殺を考えるようになった。

 6、上司は、「お前は学歴がない」と度々罵声をあ げ馬鹿にしてくる。それでいてこちらが休日出勤しても御苦労さんの一言もない。（NPO法人 労働相談センター）

We refuse illegal, tyrannical survey on tattoos by Osaka Mayor Hashimoto

 

I report on the survey on tattoos that Osaka City Mayor HASHIMOTO Toru launched on May 7. It was distributed along with his letter, which explained that the workers are to sign their names on the survey because the city may take certain measures on staffing. I submitted my response blank, saying that I cannot cooperate with this survey on tattoos because this is concerning privacy. On May 22, the head of the department came to hand me the survey and told me that it was the order and so I should cooperate. The order stated, “If a worker refuses to fill out the survey, he may face charges on violation of director’s (mayor’s) orders.” A director called me into his office the next day and asked me, “If you continue refusing, you will be subjected to disciplinary actions. Are you prepared for this?” I said, “The orders that violate the law are ineffective.  橋下市長の違法・横暴な「入れ墨調査」は拒否します！

 大 阪市橋下市長が躍起になっている入れ墨調査についての報告をします。5月7日に市長名の文書と調査表が配布されました。その文書は、「(入れ墨について)実態を把握した上で、人事配置上の配慮を行う必要があることから 、全 職員に対し記名式の調査を実施する」となっていました。

私は、「入れ墨は個人のプライバシーに関することであり、調査には協力できません｣と表明して、白紙で出しました。 ところが、5月22日になって課長から「局長から職務命令書が出ているので手渡す。調査に協力するように｣との話がありました。その命令書は、「命令にも かかわらず回答を拒否する場合には、職務命令違反となることを合わせて伝達しておく｣と結ばれていました。その翌日、今度は所長(部長級)から呼び出さ れ、「拒否を続けると懲戒処分の対象となるが、その覚悟か｣と聞かれたので、「法に反した職務命令は無効です。不当な処分が出された場合には、第3者に判 断を求める｣と言いました。 （なかまユニオン大阪市職員支部・矢野幸一）

Dealings behind the scenes of Japanese court~Lawyer Teruo Ikuta reveals on Labornet TV

 

 Labornet TV exposed the dark side of Japanese court on May 24, featuring Lawyer IKUTA Teruo (former Osaka High Court judge) and OTAKA Shoji, who is fighting his own battle with the court. The director-general of the Supreme Court has managed judges of all court systems in Japan, aiming to avoid ruling of Constitutional violation in the lawsuits concerning US-Japan Security Treaty, bureaucracy, major corporations and the government affairs, according to Ikuta. Due to this tradition, Ikuta also pointed out that about 3,000 judges are inclined to be manipulated with salary, promotion or transfer. “Judges who act according to the Supreme Court’s temper cannot possibly write a fair verdict,” Ikuta said. He also revealed that a large sum of money is shifted around behind the scenes for political manipulation just as it was seen in the nuclear village. 驚愕する裁判所の実態～「レイバーネットTV」で生田暉雄弁護士語る

 5 月24日のレイバーネットTVは、裁判所によってデッチ上げられた傷害事件で起訴・公判中の「裁判所前の男」大高正二さんと最高裁の裏金犯罪を追及してい る生田暉雄弁護士（元大阪高裁裁判官）をゲストに、裁判所に暗部にずばり斬り込む企画となった。生田弁護士は、「最高裁事務総局は、安保条約・官僚行政・ 大企業・国家事業に関して“絶対に違憲判決を出させない”ことを目標に、全国の裁判官統制を長年にわたって進めてきた」として、約3000人の裁判官が給 与・昇格・転勤などをエサに「ヒラメ裁判官」にさせられていく実態をリアルに語った。「最高裁のご機嫌を伺う裁判官がまともな判決を書けるわけはない」。

 それだけでなく、莫大な裏金が様々な政治工作に使われていることを暴露した。また「429号警備法廷」の恐怖の実態にギャラリーにも衝撃が走った。番組 は、映画・コラム・音楽・川柳コーナーでも裁判所批判一色になり、大いに盛り上がった。（M）

Workers fighting against evil companies that snapped back at unions

 

 Some 120 people, including a unionist from Turkey, attended an event titled, “Workers fighting against evil companies—Part II,” on May 18. Union members reported their struggles and their commitment to their struggles. An Osaka City worker, who is resisting tyrannical Osaka mayor said that his workplace turned into a place where workers cannot speak of their minds for fear that they would be reported and reprimanded. A union member of Suki-ya, a Japanese fast-food chain, revealed that the company refused to re-employ union members after the Great East Japan Earthquake. Another one at Miyako Mainichi Shimbun Union said that the company president forced union members to remain seated all day without any work assigned except when going to the washroom. Tour guides reported on their company, Hankyu Travel Support, and how it sued the union president for responding to an interview and stopped assigning him any work. A former KDDI phone operator reported how her company suspended all  business operations and dismissed workers for establishing a union. The last but not least case was a school office worker who was arrested for demanding that the principal attend a collective bargaining session. All struggles were unbelievably strange.  ブラック企業に立ち向かう仲間たち～逆ギレなんてとんでもない！

 5月18日、「ブラック企業に立ち向かう仲間たちの集会」、通​称・逆ギレ集会part2が開かれました。橋下市政下で​のストをはじめ、ブラック企業 ・使用者に対抗する現場か​らのプロテストが次々に紹介され、深い想いが語られ、互​いに元気をもらう、感動的な集会になりました。トルコの組合活動家を含む、120人が参加しました。

「密告を恐れ、ものが言えない」（大阪市）、「震災の支​援からも外された」（宮城県内のすき家）、「仕事を与え​ず『 トイ レ以外立つな』と1日中椅子に座らせた」（宮古​毎日）、取材に応じたことを口実に組合支部長から仕事を​すべて取り上げた（阪急トラベルサポート）、組合をつくったら業務を廃止​し職場全員解雇された（KDDIエボルバ）、挙句の果て​は「校長との団交を理由に逮捕された」（がくろう神奈​）など、駆け つけた仲間たちから明かされた攻撃は、信じ​がたいほど異常なものばかりでした。（北健一） 　＊写真＝登壇した「すき家」とたたかう仲間
