On April 19th, 3, 500 people
rallied in the Tokyo Hibiya Open-air Music Hall to stop the reclamation work
for the construction of the U.S. Military base in Henoko I have never seen so
many various people and organizations gathered for the fight against Henoko and
other US bases in Okinawa. There were many speeches, but the most impressive
one was that of YAMASHIRO Hiroji, who was in Tokyo for the first time since he
was freed from detention. He called out, “My arrest was intended to suppress
the voices of Okinawans and of everyone fighting against war. Stop Abe running
wild!” Then he took the lead to sing “Stand Up” with the audience. The

圧巻だった山城博治さんのスピーチ～辺野古基地反対大集会に3500人
4月19日、「辺野古の海の埋立て工事強行を許さな
い！大集会」が東京・日比谷野音
で開催されました。参加者は 3500人。労働団体・市民団体はじめ、辺野古新基地、
沖縄基地問 題でこんなにいろいろな団体の人々が集まったのは、私のなかで は初め
ての光景でした。集会では沖縄からの訴え・各政党・会派 からのあいさつ・辺野古
関係のリレートークがありましたが、なん といっても保釈後初めて上京した山城博
治さんのスピーチが圧巻 でした。山城さんは「私への弾圧は沖縄県民への弾圧、戦
争反対 の声をあげる全国民への弾圧でした。腹を決してアベ暴走をとめ よう！」と
呼びかけました。山城さんの音頭で歌った「今こそ立 ち上がろう！」、会場全体が
熱い気持ちでいっぱいになりまし た。集会後、参加者は「辺野古に基地をつくる
な」とコールを上 げて銀座へデモ行進をしました。私は解散地点で菱山南帆子さん
