Friday demo demand decommissioning of Monju, never restart Ikata nuclear plant

 On Nov. 6, the routine Friday demonstration began. It was a nice sunny day, which drew more people to the demonstration near the Diet building. I first stopped by the METI tent, whose appeal of the lower court ruling was dismissed by the Tokyo high court just 10 days ago. But the tent was still standing, with the banner that reads, “We won’t let them take away our tent.” I also saw the surveillance camera that METI set up. The sign at the tent read, “1518 days.”

 Many people at the Friday demo spoke about Monju fast breeder reactor and its decommissioning. Of all the people, FUJINO Yasufumi, Japan Communist Party member, explained very well, “The nuclear regulatory agency is only saying the management should be replaced. It never suggested decommissioning of Monju. The business itself is wrong.” (By KINOSHITA Masaaki)

「もんじゅ廃炉・伊方再稼働」発言続く～再稼働反対！金曜行動レポート

11 月6日金曜日、いつもの反原発抗議行動の日。この日は朝からよく晴れていたので、国会周辺にも時間になると人々は集まってきた。最初に、10日前に東京高 裁から控訴審の判決で控訴棄却された経産省前テントひろばに出かけた。テントはまだ立っていた。そこには「テント撤去を許さない」の横断幕がはられてい た。また経産省がとりつけた監視カメラが目についた。テントの看板は「1518」日を示していた。国会前のスピーチでは、前日に報道された「もんじゅ廃 炉」をめぐる発言が多かった。その中で共産党の藤野保史議員（写真上）の話がわかりやすかった。かれは、「原子力規制委員会は運営機関を変えるべきと言っ ているだけで、もんじゅ廃炉は言っていない。この事業そのものがおかしい」と指摘した。（木下昌明）

Sendai tent set up to stop the restart of Sendai Plant

On September 26^th, a tent to stop the restart of Sendai Nuclear Power Plant was set up on Gumisaki Beach, which is at the back of the Plant. 14 people, including members from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry tent city, set up 7 tents by 2 p.m., as a base to stop the restart of the Sendai Plant. On the next day a “tent declaration” was issued, saying “The restart of Sendai No.1 & 2 plants will be the first among the planned restart of nuclear power plants nationwide. This tent symbolizes our firm intention to stop it”. A tent blog went online on October 25^th, disseminating information of the tent activities.

川内原発再稼働を何としても止めたい！～「川内テント」が本格稼働

鹿児島県・薩摩川内市の川内原発裏手にある、久見崎（ぐみさき）海岸に「川内原発再稼動阻止テント」が9月26日に設置された。その日の午後2時ころ「経産 省前テントひろば」のメンバーら総勢14名により、本部テント1棟、個人テント5棟、簡易トイレテントの7棟のテントが建てられた。ここが川内原発再稼働阻止の「拠り所」になる。9月27日には「テント宣言」を発表し、「川内原発1、2号機の再稼働は、現在停止している全国の原発の再稼働の突破口となるものです。何としてでもそれを止めたい、という意志と行動が、このテントに込められています」と述べている。そして2回の台風などのアクシデントが続き遅れていたが、このほどブログを開設し本格的に情報発信を開始した。10月25日に発信された「川内テント報告3・4」を紹介する。

METI Tent is Foundation of Decent Life—Hunger Strike Continues at METI

A hunger strike was launched at METI tent from May 16 to 22. Participants wearing a band that said, “We are against eviction of the tent!” and same jackets conducted a sit-in on Friday afternoon, May 17. During the regular streaming program, people on hunger strike said, “This is an important place for those who wish for no nuclear. We have to protect it,” during the interview.

 The 82-year-old SAKUMA Tadao said, “I came around here every day during the struggles against the US-Japan Security Treaty in the 1960s. What’s impressive about this METI tent is individuals who are not members of any organizations come to join this movement against nuclear power unlike old times when unions and political parties mobilized their members. I’ve been involved in social movement for a long time, but I’ve never experienced something of this sort. I want to protect this place because the tent is the foundation of decent life.” (By M)

「テントは人らしく生きるための基盤」～経産省前で抗議のハンスト続く
経 産省前テントひろばでは、5月16日から22日までの予定で、ハンガーストライキが始まった。17日の金曜日も「テント撤去反対！」のハチマキを付け、 ハッピを着た人たちが座り込んでいた。夕方からは「あおぞら放送」。番組の中でハンスト中の人たちにインタビューした。「ここは脱原発の人々が集う大事な 場所、守らなければ」と異口同音に語る。今年82歳の佐久間忠夫さんは「60年安保の時はこの辺には毎日デモで来た。テントの運動がすごいのは、当時は党 や労組など組織があってできたものだったが、今は組織とは関係のない一人ひとりが主体的に参加している。私も長年運動してきたが、初めての体験だった。テ ントは“人らしく生きるための基盤”であり、どうしても守りたい」と語っていた。（M） 写真速報・「あおぞら放送」アーカイブ・写真報告（笠原眞弓）　＊写真＝ハンスト中の人たち（中央が佐久間忠夫さん）
