Dancing rally to stop the relocation of Tsukiji Fish Market

On August 20^th, a dancing rally was held in the busy streets of Shinjuku, Tokyo.　

There were only seventy participants, but the rally caught the attention of the passers-by. The action called for the stop of the relocation of the Tsukiji Fish Market, which is scheduled for November 7^th. The new Tokyo Governor, KOIKE Yuriko, was in the process of re-examining the relocation of the Market. (She announced the postponement of the relocation on August 31^st ) Japan Communist Party Diet Member, KIRA Yoshiko, made a speech at the rally, “I have a baby under the age of one. I cannot give the baby a fish served from a market contaminated with benzene. Many sales brokers in the market are against the relocation. I hope the new Governor keeps her campaign pledge to stop the relocation.” NAKAZAWA Makoto, the president of the Tsukiji Market Workers’ Union, said, “The problem is not only the contamination. The plan was questionable from the beginning and now it’s clear to everyone.” The participants were resolute to protect the Tsukiji Fish Market, which is a cultural asset of Japan. (M)

8月20日、「築地でええじゃないか！ええじゃないか！」の囃子言

葉を連呼し、踊りながらのデモが新宿の街を練り歩いた。約70人ほ

どだが迫力は満点で、通行人の注目を浴びた。築地市場の豊洲移転

が11月7日に迫るなか、土壌汚染をはじめ様々な問題が噴出し、小

池新知事も「いったん立ち止まって考える」と再検討に入ってい

る。集会では、吉良よし子議員が「ゼロ歳児を育てているが、ベン

ゼンが出るところの魚を子どもに食べさせるわけにはいかない。仲

卸業者の多くも反対している。小池知事には公約を守ってほしい」

と発言。また築地市場労組委員長の中澤誠さんも「汚染問題だけで

なく全部がおかしい。最初から無茶な計画でそのインチキがバレ

た」と、豊洲移転中止を強く求めていた。「世界に誇る日本の文

Tokyo gubernatorial election should discuss relocation of Tsukiji Fish Market

 An event to appeal to the Tokyo gubernatorial election candidates to discuss relocation of Tsukiji Fish Market was held on July 20. One of the candidates,  UTSUNOMIYA ,Kenji who dropped out of the race stopped by and said, “I dropped out of the race because Mr. Torigoe agreed to take on one of my proposed policies, which is to suspend relocation of the fish market. I totally support this idea. I pay respect to all of you who have continued to struggle with this issue. I will continue monitoring the Tokyo assembly even after the governor is elected.”

 “Toyosu, the relocation site, is not fit to house a fish market. There should be a Tokyo government run manga cafe,” an architect criticized. A mothers group also made a statement, “This is about food and safety. We strongly urge the new governor to take this as serious issue.” The Tsukiji market is to shut down on Nov. 1. (by Johnny H)

7月20日(水)「全都知事候補者に訴える！ 続・『築地 市場移転問

題』を争点化せよ！都庁前アクション」が開催され た。別の集会

に向かう途中だった宇都宮健児さんがマイクをと り、「鳥越さん

は私が取り組む政策に賛同したので、私は立候補 を取りやめた。

特に築地市場の閉鎖は中止にし再検討するという 考えには、全く

その通りだと言った。この問題にずっと取り組ん できたみなさん

には敬意を表し、また新都知事決定後も都議会の 監視を続けてい

く」とエールを送った。建築の専門家の人は 「豊 洲は市場の目的

の設計になっていない。都立漫画喫茶にした方が いい」と厳しい

発言。ママさんたちのグループは 「食の問題なの で、都知事にな

ろうとする人は真剣に取り組んでほしい」と訴え た。いよいよ今

年11月1日予定の築地市場閉鎖日が迫ってきてい る。（ジョニー

Mass protest action against Abe government

Nearly 14,000 people gathered at a central park in Tokyo on March 22 to protest against various issues proposed under Abe administration, including restart of nuclear plants, the right to collective action, new base construction in Henoko and TPP. The Abe government has not listened to the voices of the people who are against constitution revision, state secrecy law, tax increase, reduction of social security, labor deregulations, agricultural reforms and other issues. The Abe cabinet has approved of these issues as though they were matters among friends or family.

 The event participants reached a consensus to override Abe government before they marched to the Diet.

 The day before the big rally, demonstrations were held at two locations in Tokyo; one called for no war, and the other demanded the Tokyo government keep its fish market in Tsukiji. 安倍政権にNO！を突きつける～3.22大行動に14000人

 
３ 月２２日、原発再稼働や集団的自衛権行使容認、沖縄・辺野古新基地建設、多国籍大企業のためのＴＰＰなどに反対する様々な人たち が東京・日比谷野音に集ま り、安倍政権にＮＯ！を突きつけた。憲法、特定秘密保護法、消費税増税、社会保障削減、労働法制改悪、農業・農協改革・・・。安倍政権は反対する人たちに 全く耳を傾けることなく、親族、友人かのような閣議の決定でそれらを推し進めている。それらの根っこは同じだ。この日、さまざま なイシューが安倍政権打 倒！の一点で結集した。壇上の高校生や大学生の若い人たちからの発言に、年配者の多い会場から盛大な拍手が起こった。このあと、会場に入りきれず公園で待 機していた人たちと合流し、14000人（主催者発表）の国会包囲、請願 デモが行われた。（shinya） 動画（木下昌明撮影）

「安倍原発政権打倒！」「築地でええじゃない か！」～新宿で二つのデモ

 
3 月21日土曜日、東京・新宿で二つのデモがあった。午後1時、柏木公園では「安倍原発政権打倒！新宿・反戦デモ」の集会が始まった。各労 組・団体からのあ いさつ。なかでもテントひろば共同代表の渕上太郎さんは自公の戦争立法を糾弾するとともに、テントひろば死守の経過を説明、再稼働阻止の闘いの継続を力強 く訴えた。1時半にデモが出発。「戦争する国 絶対反対！アベを倒せ！」のシュプレヒコールに沿道の何人もの人が手を振って応えてくれた。続いて午後2時半からは、アルタ前で「築地で、ええじゃない か！」のリレートークが始まった。広島から駆けつけた広大名誉教授の三国さんは、築地市場の移転先である新豊洲が、いかに不便・不合理・危険かをわかりや すく説明した。（牧子嘉丸） 　＊ 写真＝安倍打倒デモ（ムキンポさん撮影）
