“We won the lawsuit!” Sanken Union members
threw into the air their yellow bibs with the slogan they wore during the
struggle. They all felt relieved and tasted the sweetness of the victory.
Korean Sanken Union finally gained the
landmark victory on June 2. I hastily arranged a trip to South Korea to take
part in the last protest action held at the sit-in- tent at the factory. The
party was held on the night of July 3 to celebrate the victory in front of the
banner that read, “Let’s return to work!” and appreciate the efforts of the
delegates who traveled to Japan to demand reinstatement. I had an interview
with a head of the union branch who had mixed feelings about the victory.
“Although I am very glad we won the case, I feel a vague sense of
disconsolateness,” he said. “The road so far has not been an easy one. We met
opposition from our families. One member faced a possible divorce, while others
had to take care of small children or sick parents during the struggle.
Although we started the occupy struggle with 34 members, some fellow members
walked away after receiving the dismissal allowance for 60 months from the
company. It was really a bitter and sorrowful struggle full of tears.”(OZAWA Kuniko)
「勝ったぞー！」黄色いゼッケンを空に投げた～サンケン 勝利、訪韓報告
「勝ったぞー！」組合員たちは、それまで常に着て
いた黄色いゼッケンを空に投げた。みなホッとして喜びをかみし
めていた。韓国サンケン労組は6月2日、ついに画期的な勝利を手
にした。労組が籠城していた工場前のテントでの最後の集会に参
加するため、急きょ韓国に行ってきた。3日夜、「現場に戻ろう」
と書かれた横断幕の前で、日本遠征団をねぎらい、勝利を祝う宴が
開かれていた。分会長にインタビューした。その思いは複雑だっ
た。「勝ったし、うれしいのだけれど、何かやるせない」と。ここ
までの道のりはたやすくはなかった。家族の反対もあったし、離
婚の危機を抱えながら闘争に参加していた仲間もいる。小さい子
供や病気の親を抱えていた組合員もいる。34名で始めた籠城闘争
だが、途中、会社からの「60か月分の解雇慰労金」を受け取り去
っていった仲間もいる。本当につらい、涙を流しながらの闘いだ
