“Hiroshima/Nagasaki no
kai” held a memorial
gathering to commemorate the 72nd anniversary
of atomic bombing at 7 p.m. on Aug. 6 at Hiroshima/Nagasaki Park in
Cologne. In addition to the message from the mayor of Cologne (member of Mayors
for Peace), the head of the park's district (Greens party) also addressed the
crowd. Shin
Su-gok (political activist), who we invited as a special
guest from Japan, made a powerful speech. While giving a silent prayer each
before the monument, SHIMIZU Yoshiro (president of
Cologne Tenri Culture Workshop) continued playing traditional
Japanese wind instrument Sho. This year, because the
Toyo Art Museum is under construction, the pond’s water level was extremely
low, and the coast was cloudy with contamination. So the participants abandoned
the annual Toro-nagashi (flowing lights), and decided to just put the lanterns on
the fence of the pond. Although it was disappointing, it was a good time of

ドイツ・ケルンで「8月6日
ヒロシマ・ナガサキ祈念集 会」～辛淑玉さんも参加
ケルンのヒロシマ・ナガサキの会は、72回目の原爆 投下を記念して、8月6日の19時
よりケルンのヒロシマ・ナガサ キ・公園で記念集会を催しました。ケルン市長（平
和市長の会） のメッセージ、公園の所在区の区長（緑の党）からのスピーチに加
え、特別ゲストとして滞独中の辛珠玉さんをお招きし、力強いス ピーチをして頂く
ことができました。祈念碑の前でそれぞれが、黙 祷を捧げる間、志水美郎さん（ケ
ルン天理文化工房主宰）が笙の 演奏を続けて下さいました。恒例の「灯籠流し」
は、今年は東洋 美術館が工事中で、そのため池の水位が極端に低く、沿岸は不純物
で濁っており、筏を流すことは断念し、池のフェンスの台に乗せる だけに留めまし
た。残念ではありましたが、満月の加勢も得、それ なりによい鎮魂の時となりまし
