We express our solidarity with comrades in Hong Kong in building true democracy.

Hi, all. We are members of Labornet Japan International Division, online news site that posts information about labor and social movements in and outside of Japan.

Occupy Central has attracted a lot of attention in Japan, and we have been posting news stories about the movement, as well as students boycott at universities and a general strike by trade unions.

We also face an authoritarian government here in Japan, with labor deregulations, forcible construction of a U.S. base in Okinawa and restart of nuclear power plants. Occupy Central, led by students and youths in Hong Kong, is so empowering to us. Where there is no true democracy, we believe there is no prosperity or stability for the people.

Bilateral relations between Japan and China, South Korea and other Asian nations are strained due to historical revisionism of the Japanese government. However, this is the very time that solidarity between the workers and the citizens beyond borders becomes indispensable.

We support Occupy Central from across the ocean！
We are committed to saving our Hong Kong with our own hands!
We are committed to building democracy with our own hands!

團結香港人民自主力量落實民主的鬥爭

大家好!我們是日本勞工網國際部，是通過網絡發布日本和世界工運和社會運動的團體。

佔領中環在日本也受到注目，我們網站也陸續報導有關信息，包括學生罷課、工運罷工和佔中報導。

日本現政權也同樣忽視民意推行勞工法制改惡、在沖繩擴建美軍基地和核電站重啟等非民主政策。所以，香港人民以學生青年人為首的佔中運動對我們發揮很大的鼓勵。不管在香港、中國或日本,沒有真正民主,就沒有人民的繁榮穩定的。

由於日本政府歷史修正主義，導致與中韓等亞洲國家的政府之間的關係惡化。正因為如此，打工族和公民之間的國際團結更為重要的。

みなさん、こんにちは！私たちはレイバーネット日本・国際部です。ウェブサイトで日本と世界の労働運動や社会運動の情報を発信しています。

オキュパイ・セントラルは日本でも大きく注目されており、私たちのウェブサイトでも、学生の授業ボイコット、労働組合のゼネスト、そしてオキュパイ・セントラルのニュース等を報道してきました。

日本でも多くの民意を無視して、労働法制の改悪、沖縄での米軍基地建設、そして原発再稼働などが、進められようとしていますが、香港の学生青年を中心としたオキュパイ・セントラルに、私たちも大きく励まされています。香港でも中国でも日本でも、真の民主主義なくして人々の繁栄も安定もないでしょう。

日本政府の歴史修正主義によって、中国、韓国などアジア各国との政府間関係は良好ではありませんが、このような時こそ労働者や市民のあいだでの国境を越えた連帯が何よりも重要です。
